Welcome to f97.be, the personal website of Erik Schmidt (yes, that Erik Schmidt). Use the menu on the left-hand side of this page for more information on our AI solar forecasts, charging stats, and other mildly obsessive experiments. On mobile devices, tap the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-left corner.
Most of the time things on this site hum along nicely, but every now and then something might crash, vanish, or spontaneously go kaputt. If a graph disappears or the numbers look weird, it’s probably just me testing something I shouldn’t have touched. 💥🤷♂️

Explore my 24 hour energy production forecast for the House Roof System, generated using a custom built AI model trained on more than 1500 days of historical weather and solar production data. This interactive dashboard visualizes real time AI predictions, GTI based forecasts, and actual inverter production, all compared in a detailed chart. You will also find model performance metrics (R², MAE), and historical accuracy tables showing how well predictions matched reality.
Terneuzen Through Time
Behind the Scenes
Curious who’s behind it all? Visit About me to learn more about my background and what powers these projects.
This site is served by a Raspberry Pi 3, neatly tucked into an F-Tronic enclosure in Eynatten, Belgium. It connects to our router via WiFi, stays online during power outages thanks to a UPS, and runs entirely on solar energy.
